December Wrap-Up & January TBR

December Wrap-Up

December was a great reading month!! It didn’t start out too well because I was very busy at university so couldn’t read too much, but in the last two weeks of the month I was able to read loads, and it has been one of my best reading months of the year. In total I read 11 books, but it is actually the highest page count of the year as some of the books were very long!

The books I read are:

  • The Binding by Bridget Collins – 3.75 stars
  • Heartstopper by Alice Oseman – 5 stars
  • Nevermoor by Jessica Townsend – 4 stars
  • Jack of Hearts by L. C. Rosen – 4 stars
  • The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater – 4 stars
  • The Secret History by Donna Tartt – 4 stars
  • Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz – 5 stars
  • The Girl King by Mimi Yu – 3.5 stars
  • The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon – 5 stars
  • Slay: On Tour by Kim Curran – 4 stars
  • Wundersmith by Jessica Townsend – 4.5 stars

So as you can see this was very successful! Also as it was the end of the year I was really excited to set aside some time to reread a few books and to get to some of the books I have been waiting a long time to read!

January 2019

New year, new reading plan! I have so many books I need to read in the next few months so this TBR is going to be extremely overly ambitious! I have been extremely lucky receive a lot of wonderful ARCs from publishers, but that does mean I now need to read them all of them very soon!

The one book that isn’t an ARC that I will be reading is The Wicker King by K. Ancrum. I have been wanting to read this book for a long time so when Mel from Meltotheany announced a readalong for it I decided now was the time!

Other than that, here are the ARCs I will be reading:

  • Black Leopard Red Wolf by Marlon James
  • Circle of Shadows by Evelyn Skye
  • Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
  • Shadowscent by P. M. Freestone
  • Enchantée by Gita Trelease
  • A Danger to Herself and Others by Alyssa Sheinmel

So that is a TBR of 7 books, which should be attainable but again, some of them are pretty sizeable so we shall have to see how it goes! Wish me luck!
