So January was definitely not the most successful reading month for me! I got into a massive slump at the beginning of the month where I picked up and then put down about 4 books before finding anything I wanted to stick with!
As you saw from my last post (found here) I didn't do too badly with my 2018 goals, I smashed my Goodreads goal, I read a lot of amazing books, but now it is time to look to the New Year and make some new goals!
Overall, 2018 has been an absolutely amazing reading year, I have read so much more than I was hoping for, so I am really excited to look back at my reading from the year and firstly discuss whether I met my goals, and then secondly a lot of stats! Stats about books make me very happy, so be prepared for numbers!
December was a great reading month!! It didn't start out too well because I was very busy at university so couldn't read too much, but in the last two weeks of the month I was able to read loads, and it has been one of my best reading months of the year.
This hasn't been my most successful reading month sadly as I have been so busy with university deadlines and all sorts of other things such as rehearsals and dance competitions across the country! So as you can see, reading hasn't exactly been my top priority this month! I finished a total of 5 books this month, and am in the middle of 2 others!
Somehow, this has actually been quite a successful reading month! As I started back at Uni this month I thought I would be very limited in how much time I would have to read, and I kind of was but I still managed to make quite a lot of time and get through quite a few books, with a grand total of 8!
This has not been the best reading month. I had quite a lot of time but for some reason did not feel particularly motivated to read for most of the month! So overall I read 6 books, and although that isn't too many I actually had some absolutely amazing reads this month!
Well, this month has been one of the best months for reading that I have ever had! It went very slightly downhill towards the end of the month as I went to Reading Festival for five days and as I was camping and very busy reading wasn't really on the agenda! But other than that it has gone very well and I have managed to read a total of 13 books!
This readathon ran from August 9th-13th and has as very simple premise, read for 25 hours across 5 days. I love this readathon because there is no restriction of which books you read or how many books, just an aim of reading for a lot of time! This was my first ever readathon I've taken part in and I had so much fun doing it and am so proud of how I did!
