I am so excited to be bringing this post to you today, and it is definitely an exciting one! I had the opportunity to read Rayne and Delilah's Midnite Matinee early (thank you to Andersen Press) and so today I have a review for you (more on that later), but even more excitingly I have a guest post from the author, Jeff Zentner!
So January was definitely not the most successful reading month for me! I got into a massive slump at the beginning of the month where I picked up and then put down about 4 books before finding anything I wanted to stick with!
I have such a fun post for you today! Recently Mackenzi Lee (author of The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue) put on her Instagram her top 5 underrated or underhyped books that were released in 2018, and it has completely taken off! I think this is such a fantastic tag and challenge, to talk about some amazing books which just didn't get the recognition they deserved this year! So here I go, I am excited to share with you my love for these books!
First, I want to thank HarperCollins Children's for sending me an advanced copy of this book! I knew I had been wanting to read some fantasy recently but I didn't realise quite how much that was true until I picked this book up and realised that I couldn't put it down! I can't necessarily define what made this book so gripping for me, but either way it definitely was! I loved every second I spent reading this book and I am already looking forward to trying out whatever Sarah Henning writes in the future.
